Yes it was a Manic Monday…..

MANICMONDAYMEME~MANICMONDAYMEME~MANICMONDAYMEME
from the feisty and fun Fleur de Lisa:

What celebrity crushes did you have when you were growing up?

The first one I recall was David Cassidy…me and about a million other pre-teen and teen girls!
A bit later it was John Travolta beginning with when he was Barbarino in Welcome Back, Kotter and going on through Saturday Night Fever and Urban Cowboy….kinda finishing with Pulp Fiction (one of my fave movies). He’s gotten a bit pudgy to be a crush anymore but I still like him.
Also about that time I LOVED Telly Savales in Kojak. I’m not so much into bald men but there are some that have it goin’ on and he was one. I have a pic somewhere of me in my Kojak tee shirt circa 1976!

What cartoon character best describes you?

I’ve never been a big cartoon fan so I did a google to jog my memory about cartoons. According to this meme, I am Bugs Bunny:

You are Bugs Bunny.

You are fun, friendly, and popular. You are a real crowd pleaser.
You have probably been out on the town your share of times, yet you
come home with the values that your mother taught you. Marriage and
children are important to you, but only after you have fun. Don’t
let the people you please influence you to stray.

Okey dokey then.

Complete this statement “I recommend…” (it can be a TV show, book, movie, website, activity, restaurant, etc.)

The new Linkin Park CD, Minutes to Midnight — I got it this week-end and it rocks big time!

From The Rolling Stone:

In the last song, “The Little Things Give You Away,” the band coolly torpedoes George W. Bush’s petty, disastrous arrogance on Iraq and New Orleans (for starters), building from acoustic strum and soft-shoe electronics to magisterial Seventies-arena guitar and lacerating disgust.

Thanks, Lisa, for the fun questions.
I wanted to write a newsy little post about my week-end and stuff but my eyes are stingy, itchy with allergies so…..until next time……

Is the new Linkin Park album generally great or just great if you happen to be a fan of the band?

As for myself,
I would personally recommend the show

“It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia”

I also recommend the latest Amon Tobin album which was made entirely of live samples called

“The Foley Room”

I recommend Keller Williams’ “Laugh” album. Very appropriately titled. There are also some beautiful instrmentals on it and my personal fave song on it, “Kidney In A Cooler”.

DP - I think it’s great for it’s genre…..I’m not particularly a LP fan.

dead - Amon Tobin looks verrry interesting - will listen further. Thanks for the tip.

Liprap - I’ll check it out…..thanks for your tip too.

I remember David and Shaun Cassidy both being wildly popular back in the 70’s.

I’m going to have to check out the LP CD on iTunes. Always looking for new music!

Hope your allergies get better soon- mine are horrible today too.

Thanks for playing!

My first movie star crush was definitely Michael Anderson Jr. in Swiss Family Robinson. I actually love Linkin Park so will have to try that. I recommend the chocolate souffle at the Delachaise. :)

My crushes (I had many): Andrea McArdle (from Annie). Tatum O’Neal. Linda Blair. Bailey from “WKRP in Cincinnati”. Mr. Kotter’s wife. And the chick with braces from “Square Pegs”.(Yeah, I liked geek girls.)

I took the cartoon character test, but feel free to call bullshit on it, Charlotte dear:

You are Tweety.

You are cute, and everyone loves you. You are a best friend that
no one takes the chance of losing. You never hurt feelings and
seldom have your own feelings hurt. Life is a breeze. You are
witty, and calm most of the time. Just keep clear of back stabbers,
and you are worry-free.

Chocolate souffle? Loves me some chocolate, I’ll hafta check it out.
Thanks for dropping by, ya’all.

I just wrote up a review on my page for Michael Moore’s new film SICKO which comes out on the 29th.

It’s a long ass review but I cut it short for you and just tell you that i highly recommend it.
