Johnny Depp’s production company has just obtained the rights and are developing a script for a film version of Dark Shadows.
Dark Shadows was a gothic soap opera that ran from 1966 to 1971 complete with vampires, werewolves, witches and a few regular people whose lives were spent hiding or running from the vampires, werewolves and witches. I loved DS as a kid…..the first thing I did after getting off the school bus every day was to run inside and turn on DS. I was severely addicted and very upset when the series was cancelled and I am thrilled that Depp will be involved in developing this project. Word is he will play the lead of Barnabas Collins - perfect! He will be perfect!
So who else do we want to see in this movie? Here are my picks:
Penelope Cruz is my choice for Josette. At first I thought of Angelina Jolie but she’s too sultry for this part. Penelope is a perfect mix of wholesome sexiness and innocent vulnerability. 
Angelique should be played by Fergie. I have no idea if she can act but she has the strong, sexy looks and the devilish eyes of the perfect Angelique.
And who would make a more perfectly dark, brooding, HOT Quentin Collins than…………….
Dave Navarro! Imagine Johnny Depp and Dave Navarro in the same film…….a chick flick BLOCKBUSTER!
I can’t wait! Wouldn’t it be cool if it were filmed here? Where else would be more perfect? We certainly have the archetecture, ambiance and plethora of unique characters for extras! Then the premiere here at midnight? How cool would that be? Hey, I might dash off an email to sweet Johnny!
