Awww… thanks, Charlotte. I’m sorry we didn’t get more time. I didn’t find your voice mail until much later. Y’all did a great job with the writers’ panel. Thanks! This link leads to quite the website. It’s much more than a post. It reminds me of the end of Heart Like Water when he goes down there. Wow. It’s sobering.

You are waaaaay too kind - Bec did all the work! Truly, I ended up doing nothing. I really enjoyed the writers panel & thought it turned out really well. I wish we’d had more time to talk too. Next time!
This blogger used to visit TM often…..I, unfortunately, lost touch with her blog after my move here. I “rediscovered” it on my TM sitemeter today.
I empathize with her concern that all the focus is on Nola. Small towns never get the press that cities get and this is truly a shame and a disgrace.

There is a great video out there that shows a shrimp boat captain who rode the storm out in Plaquemines in his boat. It’s amature video but it shows raw footage of how catastrophic the storm was for residents down in Plaqumines Psrish.
