The Political Cat has honored me with the E for Excellent Blog Award, stating
“Casa de Charlotte della luna reminds me that as bad as things have been for New Orleans, there is a vital spark of life and beauty there that will not let grimness and decay win out.”
She so gets what I am striving toward with this blog and I am so glad she somehow found me out there in the vast blogosphere. I have to say to her, “BACK AT YA, SISTA!” All ya’all *must* take a trip over to her corner of cyberspace for some sophisticated, entertaining, informative and edgy blogging. Go now.
So the rule of the award, once received, is to pay it forward to ten other excellent bloggers, which I am happy to do! Here they are, in no particular order:
The Dreaming Track
Mau and Evenstar do an astounding job with this photo/travel/video blog. If you like travel, beautiful photography and reading about other cultures, this is THE BLOG for you. Their writing style and narratives make you feel as if you’re there with them
Ole Blue the Heretic
This is one funny guy and I often laugh out loud when reading his snappy and unique perspectives on life. And sometimes we get an added bonus when he shows his gentle side through his soulful poetry and haikus.
Hiromi X
This woman’s writing is addictive as evidenced by her many loyal, long-time readers. She’s spunky, honest and strong. I like that.
Your Right Hand Thief
Politics is Oyster’s forte’ - both local (he’s a NoLA blogger) and national. His posts are always informative, interesting and professional - you won’t see hysterics on this political blog. He’s a class act that treats all his commenters with respect, even the trolls and the politically informative-challenged.
Pistolette
Another New Orleans woman blogger…..with her own original style and panache. This lady knows her mind and ain’t afraid to challenge the norm. No follower, this one! She blogs politics, life and culture in NoLA and many, many other subjects. All while waiting to be a not-so-proper Goth mamma at 41 weeks pregnant.
Nola Rising
Art and activism from a man who truly loves New Orleans. He’s quick to share his talent and time with the community through his Paint Parties and other projects. Those who read this blog know Michael has my full support and admiration.
Fleur de Lisa
Great photography and a fun-loving blogger. She has a huge following and it’s easy to see why. She always makes me smile.
Liprap’s Lament–the Line
Funny, out-spoken, extremely articulate with her finger on the pulse of the NoLA Blogosphere. If you don’t have time to read your fave NoLA blogs, just go to hers. She has all the scoop. Keep it up, lil sista!
Women,Art,Life: Weaving It All Together
A beautiful, soulful artist whose words and images always inspire and awe. If I had to pick only one blog to read for the rest of my life, this would be it. You need to experience it for yourself.
Toulouse Street
New Orleans culture, music, art, poetry……..M is a true renaissance man with exceptional writing skills. Do yourself a favor and visit.
It’s been fun actually expressing what I like about these blogs/bloggers — and they all richly deserve the E For Excellent Blog Award.
*TWO HANDS CLAPPING!*
